“La Noria” is a short independently-produced animated film by Carlos Baena. It combines the stylized look of animation with the camera depth and lighting of live-action. It premiered at Siggraph Vancouver August 2018, breaking new ground, garnering over 75 awards to date and is currently screening at 150 film festivals worldwide. I had the honor of being the first artist on board the project and subsequently became the production designer:
